Graduate
Learning
Outcomes:
The faculty of the Business Technology program has identified overall learning outcomes and skills that prepare our graduates for success in business as well as life long learning.  The outcomes/knowledge requirements represent the core disciplines within the Business area (management, marketing, quantitative analysis, and environmental analysis).  The skills support each of the learning outcomes.  The skills are technology, communication, collaboration, critical thinking, ethics/social responsibility, and self- directed learning.  Each instructor in every class will evaluate these strands in relation to the four major knowledge outcomes listed below.
Graduates of the MSU-Northern Business Program will:

  1. Understand how to effectively and efficiently use resources to accomplish organizational goals.
  2. Understand how to create, maintain and enhance exchanges.
  3.  Understand how to generate, evaluate, and utilize quantitative information in a business context.
  4. Understand how to analyze and evaluate the external environment to determine and implement effective strategy.
The Management in Organizations course (BUS 300) enhances the understanding of the first, third and fourth Graduate Learning Outcomes.
