College of Technical Sciences

Under the direction of Interim Dean Larry Strizich, the college of Technical Sciences (COTS) houses a variety of technical, 'hands-on'' degree programs.  The Mission of the COTS is

To provide certificate, Associate of Applied Science and bachelor's degrees in practical disciplines designed to prepare the college graduate for employment.


This web site is established for the internal college use of the College of Technical Sciences at Montana State University - Northern.  The information contained on these pages are, generally, public knowledge, but are provided here for administrative and faculty support.

Assessment: Reviews current campus assessment information and lists the assessment plans provided by each college department.

Faculty Evaluation: Provides policy information regarding periodic reviews of faculty and lists the type and due date for each type of review - probationary, tenure/promotion and post tenure.

Program Review: Provides resources for college program review and includes the schedule of reporting requirements for programs considered for review.

DATC - Diesel Auto Technology Center:  The new proposed construction project funded partially by the state of Montana and substantially by industry and community supporters

Budgets:  Lists information regarding department budgets - current balances, etc.

Forms: Includes links to forms required for submission of purchase requests, travel requests and other actions required to be submitted by faculty and/or administration.

Policies and Procedures:  Lists COTS specific policies and provides links to Campus or Montana University System policies.
